Carla is a certified Bilingual (Spanish) Speech-Language Pathologist and specializes in pediatric population, school age children. she also has strong background working with adult clients. Having worked in preschools, special education, child care centers, homes and early intervention settings, has provided her with a comprehensive background for understanding the development and remediation of communication skills. Carla is trained in specialized therapy techniques such as the Picture Exchange Communications System (PECS,) PROMPT, Oral Motor, and play-based therapy along with experience and training to treat pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. She also has training in implementing and maintaining augmentative communication. She is licensed by the New York State Board of Examiners for Speech and Language, as well as nationally certified with the American Speech-Hearing Association.

Rachel Kass M.A., CCC-SLP, TSSLD
Clinical Supervisor

Rachel is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She completed her undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders at Iona College and received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Long Island University. Her responsibilities include supervising graduate students completing their externship practicum, overseeing clinical staff, promoting growth and development for our clinical team, and delivering the highest level of therapy to meet the needs of her students. Rachel strongly believes in the value of collaborating with parents, caregivers and other professionals in order to promote the carryover of new skills. The way Rachel is able to motivate children and making therapy fun while developing new skills is one of her best qualities.


Lorna Mora

Office Manager/CPSE Program Coordinator

Lorna works closely with the clinical director and the teams of therapist to ensure services are provided efficiently. She serves as a liason between parents, therapists, and DOE officials in order to coordinate services and comply with authorized mandates. She is currently completing her Bachelors of Arts in speech Pathology at Lehman College and hopes to pursue an advanced Master's degree in Audiology.
